The blukii Configurator app allows you to configure your blukii Beacons (Smart & Sensor) as well as Smart Keys and lets you customize their settings for your location based services project.
With the blukii Configurator app you can scan for any BLE device near you. The range is adjustable via a slider.
Login with you blukii account to be able to configure your blukii modules.
* See all your blukiis in the list
* Adjust the range slider or easily search the respective module via blukii number
* Once you have found the blukii you were looking for you can select the device by tapping on it and
** enter the device info page and check the settings and values in detail
** or proceed to connect with the blukii for configuration.
Device information
This will allow you to see the information that the device is providing. For blukii Smart Keys, Sensor Beacons and Smart Beacons all advertised blukii data is listed, but also data of standard protocols like iBeacon and Eddystone is visible.
Configuration
In the device information you can click the button on the bottom right to proceed to the device configuration. Depending on the previously chosen setting you need to do a specific action to create a connection. By default, the secure connect feature is set up for the new version of blukiis, which will automatically build up a connection if the chosen blukii matches the profile logged in to the app. The "Device Configurator" shows the properties you will need usually. By activating the "Advanced Configuration" setting the app lets you fully configure all parameters of a blukii module.
Configuration process
Starting with version 2.0.8, the blukii Configurator App is connected with the blukii Manager platform. The configurator App and the blukii Manager have the same login information and sync their data. Accordingly, changes will be marked in orange. Settings made with the blukii Manager platform need to be transferred to the specific device via the blukii Configurator App to take into effect. However the blukii Configurator App is “superior” and will overwrite data earmarked via blukii Manager.
Synchronization of data
Data of blukiis with the latest firmware will be automatically available in the blukii Manager. Data of older blukiis needs to be uploaded first. In order to do so simply login to the app and connect to the respective blukiis. After a connection has been made and an active internet connection is available the data will be synchronized to the blukii Manager.
